Aside of my “normal” academic life made of teaching and research, I am also involved in other academic-related activities.

Academic publishing and open science

Since May 2022, I am part of the editorial team of the Journal of Evolutionary Biology, the European Society for Evolutionary Biology’s society journal, as Data Editor. There, I aim to assist authors in sharing their data and code, not only to comply with the journal’s requirements but also to allow replication and re-use of published data.

Outreach

Vir(Ev)o, a one-off and collaborative project, is a short series of three educational videos that explains, in an entertaining and scientifically rigorous manner, how the study of pathogen evolution coupled with a strong analytical framework can help us better understand epidemics. I initated the project with Pierre-Baptiste Harrivelle, graphic and motion designer and Tania Louis, educational content creator. Vir(Ev)o is available in several languages (French and English, in addition, subtitles in Dutch, Spanish, German, Chinese, Greek and Turkish).
